This guide will show you how to integrate your promotions with Emarsys to start sending data right into your account.
1) Get Emarsys Credentials
Login to your Emarsys account and open a support ticket asking them to:
- Enable ViralSweep on your account. For reference, here is our Emarsys Enhance Listing.
- Request they provide you with your Emarsys API User and Emarsys API Secret.
2) Add Credentials to ViralSweep
When building your campaign in ViralSweep, go to the email integrations section and select Emarsys.
1) Input your Emarsys API User.
2) Input your Emarsys API Secret.
3) Click connect.
4) Choose a contact list.
5) Click connect.
3) You're connected!
That's it, you're all set. Your promotion is now connected to your Emarsys account, and your entrants will automatically be added to your specified list.
What data do you pass to Emarsys?
ViralSweep will pass the following fields:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- Referral URL
Can I email someone as soon as they are added to my Emarsys account?
Yes! Go to your Emarsys account and set up an automation to send to someone when they join your list.
If you have connected your promotion to Emarsys and entrants are not being added to your list, these are the most common reasons as to why:
Email already in Emarsys list
The email address entered into the promotion may already be in your Emarsys list, so it will not be added again.
Email already entered into ViralSweep
The email address entered into the promotion has already been entered into the promotion previously, so therefore it is not passed to Emarsys. This can happen if you set up your Emarsys integration after you have already entered the promotion.
Delay in reporting
Emarsys is having a delay in reporting. Try checking again in a few hours.
